- STEP 3: Choose the width and length ,For an inside mount give us the exact inside opening to the 1/8th of an inch, we will take a 3/8 deduction based on opening size. you need at least 1-3/4"depth for inside mount. For an outside mount give us the size you want the shade come. the shade size is 3-5inch wider and higher than window size so it fully cover the window and trim.
